Dr. Stan Ballard

Stan Ballard is the last of ten children born on a farm in Chickasaw County, thirty miles South of Tupelo, Mississippi. He accepted Christ as his Savior at eleven years of age and was baptized at Egypt Baptist Church near his home. Stan graduated from Okolona High School in 1966, and he graduated from Mississippi State University in 1970 with a business degree. It was there that he met Beth in 1969 and they were married in 1970. Stan worked for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company as an underwriter trainee in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1972, he began working at Bryan Foods in West Point, Mississippi, in management. Stan and Beth were active in church life wherever they lived, and he had a strong, definite call from the Lord in 1979 to preach and pastor while in West Point, Mississippi.

In 1980, Stan, Beth and their two sons (later they had a third son) moved to New Orleans to attend the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated with a Master of Divinity in May of 1982.In May of 2001, he received a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia.

Stan has pastored churches in Mississippi, Arkansas and Ohio. The longest tenure was 25 years at Nettleton Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas. They have three sons, four grandchildren and one great grandson.

Stan has preached in North America, South America, (Brazil and Peru), Asia (India), Africa (Kenya), Europe (Macedonia) and Central America (Panama). Stan and Beth are retired in Jonesboro, Arkansas where he still serves as an interim pastor and pulpit supply in Northeast Arkansas.
